SAN JOSE - A three-alarm fire ripped through a San Jose apartment complex Friday afternoon, displacing more than a dozen residents and several pets, fire officials said. The blaze broke out around 3:20 p.m. at the two-story complex, located in the 800 block of Deland Avenue in the city's Willow Glen neighborhood, according to the San Jose Fire Department. It took crews roughly an hour to place the fire under control.
