France is addressing rising violence in schools, especially after a tragic stabbing incident.
Bridget McFarlane, the victim's grandmother, expressed confidence that authorities are closing in on the suspect, stating, "The police have got details of who did it and they are investigating. They kind of know who it is. It's a dispute with somebody at school." This highlights a school-related conflict as the possible motive for the acid attack, emphasizing the serious consequences of such disputes among teens.
"Our kids need and deserve a safe place to learn, but this school year has picked up right where last year ended with classrooms disrupted daily by violent incidents. Our children are witnessing and sometimes experiencing kicking, hitting and biting," said NDP MPP Chandra Pasma, the party's education critic.
