1 week agoBarcelona handed positive Marc Casado update after midfielder undergoes tests
Marc Casado has a minor adductor injury and is expected to be available after the international break.
They're a top side, they are in League A for a reason, and we know we are going to be up against it and we're going to have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable, we have worked on that, and we are prepared for it,
According to MilanNews, 'the opposite is true for Christian Pulisic', whose condition will not actually be assessed today. The American will return from the United States late tonight (European time) due to a flight delay from Colorado, and will undergo the tests tomorrow instead. It is already almost certain that Pulisic has zero chance of playing any part against Fiorentina on Sunday night at San Siro.
With just over ten days to go before the highly anticipated clash against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, Barça are working against the clock to get key players fit - but several names have already been ruled out. Gavi and Marc-Andre ter Stegen are both long-term absentees, while, as reported earlier today, Robert Lewandowski is also ruled out with a fresh injury. Dani Olmo, too, is unlikely to return from his calf issue in time for the trip to Madrid.
All four players will be out of action until at least after the international break, meaning they will miss Sunday's game against Real Sociedad, the Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain next Wednesday and the trip to Sevilla on Oct. 5. On a more positive note, both Lamine Yamal and Alejandro Balde trained on Friday and could return from their respective injuries against Real Sociedad this weekend.
