Video Premiere: Saeko Killy - Stay - KALTBLUT Magazine
Briefly

Director Hypnagogia TV's video for "Stay" immerses viewers in a spectrum of emotions through tactile visuals and soundscapes influenced by rich musical collaborations. Filmed on VHS, the raw aesthetic mirrors the song's themes of love amidst distortion. Collaborator Sebastian Lee Philipp's sensitive mixing enhances Saeko's multidimensional sound, blending varied influences across languages, resulting in nostalgic yet modern compositions. The project echoes the audacious spirit of West Berlin's 1980s music scene, representing a unique fusion of cultural sounds and personal storytelling.
For "Stay", I aimed to capture the song's shifting moods- mysterious, melancholic, playful, and quietly hopeful. We shot in the basement of Sameheads on my old VHS camera to convey a raw, almost tactile quality, as if peering through someone's memories.
Sebastian has delicate ears. He was very much hearing what I wanted to do with the sound, and sometimes his ideas would just fit perfectly to the songs.
