"The Bruins placed left-shot defenseman Vladislav Kolyachonok on waivers on Tuesday for the purpose of sending him to Providence. The B's had claimed the 24-year-old Kolyachonok off waivers from Dallas on December 16 at a time that their blue line was hit by injuries but he got into only two games for the B's since then. Showing an eagerness to jump into the play, he nonetheless posted no points and was minus-1."
"The B's blue line is getting healthy again, with Jordan Harris practicing and presumably nearing a return from his broken ankle he suffered on October 21. Harris is currently on long-term injured reserve and the B's will eventually have to make room for him on the roster and under the salary cap. In his brief time as a pro, Kolyachonok has been a part of five organizations."
Vladislav Kolyachonok, a left-shot defenseman, was placed on waivers by the Bruins to facilitate a reassignment to Providence. Boston claimed the 24-year-old off waivers from Dallas on December 16 during a period of defensive injuries, but he appeared in only two games, recording no points and a minus-1 rating. The Bruins’ defense corps is improving, with Jordan Harris practicing and likely nearing a return from an Oct. 21 broken ankle; Harris remains on long-term injured reserve and the club will need roster and salary-cap space. Kolyachonok has been part of five organizations and could be claimed again given the compressed schedule and injury toll.
