Salem Hospital nurse returns home after suffering devastating injuries in Thailand moped crash
Briefly

Sierra Fairhurst, a 23-year-old ICU nurse from Salem Hospital, returned to Boston Logan Airport on March 27 after suffering severe injuries in an ATV accident in Thailand. Upon arrival, she was evaluated in a hospital but did not require inpatient care. Fairhurst sustained facial injuries, a brain bleed, and multiple fractures. Her family supported her during recovery, navigating complex medical logistics. A GoFundMe campaign has raised over $61,000 to assist with her medical expenses, highlighting her resilience and determination to heal and return to work as a nurse.
Despite the long road ahead for her, this could have been completely different and I'm so grateful to have her here, alive and her brain in working order.
I would definitely like to heal quickly and be able to get back to work and see my coworkers and my friends and take care of my patients.
