The investigation focuses on claims related to EV driving range, battery degradation, and warranty limitations that could violate the Consumer Code. AGCM asserts that the automakers provided vague and sometimes contradictory information on their websites, failing to clarify factors influencing the advertised maximum range and the reality of battery capacity changes over time. The probes were initiated with on-site inspections at the companies' Italian headquarters on February 20, 2025.
