IndyGo has announced Lisa Soard as its new director of communications, succeeding Carrie Black who is now the chief public affairs officer. Soard, armed with over 20 years of expertise in strategic communications, will oversee the agency's marketing initiatives while enhancing community partnerships to boost revenue and ridership. Excitement surrounds her arrival, especially as 2022 marks significant milestones for IndyGo, including the Blue Line project and the agency's 50th anniversary. Soard's past experience includes her role at the Indiana Biosciences Research Institute and the Chicago Transit Authority.
"We're excited to add Lisa to the public affairs team," Black said. "This is a big year for IndyGo as we break ground on the Blue Line, celebrate 50 years and continue to raise the bar on providing excellent service to our customers."
Soard has more than 20 years of experience leading strategic communications and public relations across various sectors.
Lisa has the leadership skills, creativity and innovation to guide these campaigns to the next level.
Soard began her career at public relations agencies in Chicago, where she had the opportunity to work with the Chicago Transit Authority.
