Brendan Rodgers has announced that Celtic's goalkeeper, Kasper Schmeichel, will be unavailable for five to six weeks due to an injury incurred during Denmark's Nations League match against Portugal. The 38-year-old has performed impressively this season, recording a league-best 19 clean sheets. His absence could lead to him missing up to seven games, including crucial matches against St. Johnstone and Kilmarnock. However, he is anticipated to return for the Scottish Cup final on May 24, contingent on Celtic's progress in the tournament.
Rodgers stated, "Kasper tends to think it might not be as long as that, but certainly in the immediate future he won't be available."
Schmeichel’s absence could mean up to seven missed games for Celtic, but he’s expected to return by the Scottish Cup final, if the team reaches it.
