US President Donald Trump to recommend 'straight 50pc tariff' on EU from next week after trade talks go 'nowhere'
Briefly

In a recent social media post, Donald Trump expressed frustration with the European Union's trade practices, accusing it of creating barriers and trade deficits that disadvantage the U.S. He claims that discussions with the EU have been unproductive and directly blames their policies for significant annual trade deficits. Trump announced a plan to impose a 50% tariff on EU products unless they are manufactured in the United States, effective June 1, 2025, in a bid to strengthen American production and address the perceived unfair trade conditions.
The European Union, which was formed for the primary purpose of taking advantage of the United States on TRADE, has been very difficult to deal with.
Their powerful trade barriers, Vat taxes, ridiculous corporate penalties, non-monetary trade barriers, Monetary Manipulations, unfair and unjustified lawsuits against Americans Companies, and more, have led to a Trade Deficit with the US of more than $250,000,000 a year, a number which is totally unacceptable.
Therefore, I am recommending a straight 50pc Tariff on the European Union, starting on June 1, 2025. There is no tariff if the product is built or manufactured in the United States.
