Arrest after man climbs on top of tall crane in Sutton

Police were received a concern for welfare call at 15:26hrs on Thursday, 13 February regarding a man who had climbed onto a crane in Lodge Place, Sutton.
The man was seen climbing on top of a crane, and after some hours, he agreed to come down and was taken to hospital under the mental health act.
However, the Metropolitan Police alleges that he spat at two officers and was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker.
At least four ambulances and several police vehicles were seen in the area, near to the Kwik Fit.
