A Brentwood man was arrested for causing a fatal collision in Purleigh, leading to an appeal for witnesses as investigations continue.
Officers were called to the collision scene shortly after 2:30 AM on January 6, where a man in his 20s was pronounced dead.
The arrested individual, also in his 20s, faces charges of causing death by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of substances.
Detectives are urging anyone with information related to the incident to contact them through the Essex Police website or call 101.
