Adam Tidman, 34, died in hospital on February 11, after being restrained by police during an incident on January 25 in Borough Market. He had been found causing a disturbance and was restrained by security staff before the police intervened. After becoming unwell while restrained, he was taken to the hospital in a life-threatening condition. His death has been referred to the IOPC, which is currently investigating and has called for witnesses to assist in establishing the circumstances surrounding his death. An inquest is also expected to be opened imminently.

IOPC director Amanda Rowe, said: We would like to pass on our thoughts to Mr Tidman's family and all of those affected by this incident.
It's vitally important that we establish the full circumstances leading up to the man's death and therefore we're appealing to anyone who saw what happened to contact our investigators.
While being restrained, Mr Tidman became unwell and was taken to hospital by paramedics. At the time, the Metropolitan Police said he was in a life-threatening condition.
