Antioch has appointed Capt. Joe Vigil as the new interim police chief as the city seeks to implement reforms and strengthen community relations post-DOJ oversight.
City Manager Bessie Marie Scott emphasized that Vigil's leadership will be pivotal for reducing violence and engaging the community as Antioch searches for a permanent chief.
