A fast-moving brush fire has ignited near homes in Antioch, California, specifically close to Oakley Road and Willow Avenue, drawing a 3-alarm response from fire crews.

The Antioch City Council approved a payment of $65,920 to David Taussig & Associates, despite a lack of a formal contract since December 2021.

According to an Antioch Police Department news release, the victim is a 21-year-old man whom officers did not identify. Police said they responded to a reported shooting about 4 p.m. Thursday in the 2000 block of Crater Peak Way and found the man who'd been shot at least once in the arm.
