Investigators have confirmed the identity of a deceased man found in the Claddagh Basin, raising questions about how he ended up in the River Corrib.
Despite extensive inquiries, including CCTV footage from a McDonald's, nobody has reported a missing person matching the man's description to the gardaí.
The man, believed to have accidentally fallen into the river, is in his 60s, dressed expensively, and had engaged with several people earlier that day.
Authorities are canvassing local businesses for information, but it is noted that no one in Galway appears to recognize him.
