On May 22, a 55-year-old MTA conductor was assaulted in an unprovoked attack at Grand Central Station. The assault occurred around 7:45 p.m. when the suspect approached the conductor, who was looking out of the window, and punched him in the face before fleeing the scene. The victim was promptly taken to a nearby hospital where he is reported to be in stable condition. The NYPD has released surveillance images of the suspect, who is described as a man in his late 30s, and is requesting assistance from the public in identifying him.
