Briefly

A confrontation in Bronx ended violently when a victim of an assault retaliated by shooting one of his attackers. The incident occurred as two assailants cornered their target, with one kicking him in the face. Once the victim recovered and fired a gun over his shoulder, he struck a 27-year-old assailant in the torso, critically injuring him. The assailants initially filmed the assault, but fled as shots were fired. The injured attacker was transported to a medical facility, and police are investigating the ongoing situation with no arrests yet made.
At one point, one of the assailants kicked the cowering victim in the face while filming the brutal ordeal on his cell phone.
The victim then fired a gun over his shoulder, striking the shorts-wearing perp, 27, in the torso and leaving him gravely wounded.
The shooter, seen wearing black pants and a black sweater over a white shirt, calmly walked past the felled attacker.
Cops say the injured man was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where he is listed in critical condition.
