"A 50-year-old woman is dead and a 17-year-old boy is recovering after a stabbing and house fire on Thursday afternoon in Queens, according to the NYPD. Officers responded just before 4 p.m. to 45-18 Smart St. and saw smoke coming from the home, authorities said. The FDNY brought the fire under control. Inside, police said they found the woman unconscious with stab wounds to her abdomen. She was later pronounced dead."
