Decapitated animal remains found in Fremont

On Sunday, police discovered the mutilated remains of what appeared to be two animals at Centerville Train Station in Fremont. Amtrak police alerted the Fremont police around 2:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found a decapitated and eviscerated animal on a park bench, with multiple bags next to it. One bag contained a second decapitated animal, while another held animal intestines. Authorities contacted a forensic veterinarian for assistance in identifying the animals and clarifying the cause of death. Updates will follow as the investigation continues.
