Several incidents of theft and vandalism were reported recently. A residential burglary occurred when a suspect broke in by shattering a sliding glass door. At Prospect High School, a student failed to report a found cell phone, leading to charges against the individual in possession of it. Additionally, two vehicle burglaries involved broken windows, one of which caused damage estimated at $600. Fortunately, nothing was reported stolen in the other vehicle incident, highlighting an ongoing issue of local crime.
At 6:55 a.m., the victims reported that someone entered their residence in the 14000 block of Loma Rio Drive by breaking a sliding glass door.
At 3:27 p.m., deputies responded to a theft call at Prospect High School on Prospect Road. An investigation revealed that a student lost a cellular phone.
Between 7 p.m. on Feb. 13 and 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 14, someone broke a window of a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence in the 12000 block of Miller Avenue.
Between 3 p.m. on Feb. 14 and 3:48 p.m. on Feb. 15, someone broke a window of a vehicle parked in the 18000 block of McCoy Avenue. The damage was estimated at approximately $600.
