San Francisco school hit with second mysterious fire
Briefly

Lafayette Elementary School in San Francisco experienced its second suspicious fire in less than a month, damaging the playground. The San Francisco Fire Department quickly extinguished the fire, ensuring the school building remained unharmed. The assistant principal expressed concern over the loss of the cherished play structure, reminding the community of its significance to students. Both fires, including an earlier blaze destroying PTA supplies, are under investigation to determine their causes. The school district is addressing safety and emotional support for affected students while securing impacted areas.
We are very grateful to report that our school building is completely safe, and no one was harmed. Unfortunately, our play structure was destroyed in the fire.
We understand that two incidents in a short time is concerning, and we are working closely with the Fire Department to investigate both cases.
