Irish actress and Celebrity Traitors player Ruth Codd reveals she has had second leg amputation
"Good news, we've had a full circle moment, I'm back making TikTok content in my parents' house, bad news, I can't do it in front of that lovely blue floral wallpaper anymore, due to the fact that, that room is upstairs, and I've just had my second below knee amputation. So unfortunately, those facilities are not available to me at the current moment in time, yes, so lots of unpack there for everyone involved."
"She has the top speed of f*** all per hour, especially if there's a step involved."
"I mean ... to say it's been surreal ... I'm not sure that I'm not about to be woken up from a very weird dream."
Sophie Codd, 29, had one leg amputated at 23 after a football injury at 15 failed to heal. She recently underwent a second below-knee amputation, which prevents her from filming in her parents' upstairs room and requires unpacking and reorganization. She acquired a new wheelchair she nicknamed 'Fat Tony' and joked about its low speed, especially over steps. She appeared on The Celebrity Traitors and was the second contestant eliminated. Her acting credits include Netflix's The Midnight Club and The Fall Of The House Of Usher. Her career began on TikTok during the COVID pandemic with comedic nun videos.
