A Yorkshire farmer has humorously appealed for the return of a stolen life-sized plastic cow, mistaken by many for a real bovine. The cow was taken from a field near Harrogate over a fortnight before January 28. Although the farmer let it be known that removing the heavy plastic figure would require considerable effort, he speculated about inebriated youths conducting a light-hearted theft. He even praised the thieves for not causing property damage, underscoring the cow was meant to amuse villagers.
The farmer expressed a humorous outlook on the theft, stating, "I'd far rather they steal a plastic cow than commit a serious crime." He praised the culprits for not damaging the property.
Despite being a heavy and robust structure, the farmer mused that the theft likely involved a van, speculating about the amusing sight of the cow on a roof rack.
