Police were called at 12:13hrs on Friday, 21 February to Portland Road, SE25 following reports of a man carrying a knife. Officers attended and arrested a man within seven minutes on suspicion of possession of a bladed article.
The arrest was made in seven minutes of the call coming in. The man remains in custody at this stage and enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
