Severed hand found at school in north Dublin as gardai launch investigation

A human hand was discovered at Our Lady Immaculate School in Darndale, Dublin, sparking an investigation by Coolock gardaí. Authorities believe the hand was recently placed there. As there were no pupils present due to mid-term break, the scene was secured for examination by the State Pathologist. Speculation includes the possibility that an animal may have unearthed the remains. "Gardaí were alerted to the discovery of partial human remains at a premises in Darndale, Dublin 17 this afternoon," a garda spokesman told the Irish Independent.

"There are a number of unanswered questions at this early stage of the investigation," a source pointed out.
