Maj Gen Christopher Norrie expressed profound grief, stating "We stand in grief with the families and loved ones of these extraordinary dogface soldiers during this unimaginable time."

Hundreds of local and foreign troops, engineers, and rescue workers contributed to the arduous operation to recover the armoured vehicle and assist in the search.
