Lucian Books and Wine is set to launch a new restaurant called Sargent in Old Fourth Ward, Spring 2026. This venture follows Lucian's recent recognition as a James Beard semifinalist for its exceptional beverage program. Co-owner Katie Barringer highlighted the vibrant location and artistic inspiration behind the name. Chef Jason Paolini will emphasize wood-fired American cuisine, alongside a strong wine focus and expanded cocktail offerings. The 6,000 square foot venue will include an outdoor patio and private dining, designed in collaboration with a women-owned architecture firm.
Wine will still be the primary focus, but we will offer a full bar experience leaning a little more on cocktail and spirits offerings.
This will be a completely new thing; this won't be Lucian two-point-oh at all.
[Sargent] will be in a super vibrant neighborhood, it's very central, and it's named after an artist that we love.
The design will be taken on in collaboration with women-owned Atlanta firm Digs Architecture and Design.
