Architect José Andrade Rocha has transformed a townhouse in Lisbon's industrial area into a minimalist home that blends with its neighbors. The front facade retains its original character, but a modernist rear extension enhances the interior with ample natural light through floor-to-ceiling windows. Finished during the COVID-19 pandemic, Rocha aimed to create a space conducive to gatherings. The interior features conventional materials creatively used, with a spacious great room and a well-integrated kitchen, reflecting both contemporary and local design sensibilities.
