iPhone users are warned about a scam involving fake Apple Pay alerts that drain bank accounts.
Digital wallets now account for more than a third of global consumer spending and are on course to reach roughly a $28 trillion value by 2030. Even now, Apple already handles 9.5 trillion transactions for more than 800 million customers, generating an estimated $2.7 billion in 2024, according to Capital One Shopping Research.
The financial campaigner James Daley has launched a 1.5bn class action lawsuit against Apple over its mobile phone wallet, claiming the US tech company blocked competition and charged hidden fees that ultimately harmed 50 million UK consumers. The lawsuit takes aim at Apple Pay, which they say has been the only contactless payment service available for iPhone users in Britain over the past decade.
Farmers markets in particular are a way of understanding the people who live in any given place.
