France has banned 10 British anti-migrant activists for attempting to stop migrants and asylum seekers from crossing into the United Kingdom on small boats, the French Ministry of Interior has announced. In a statement on Wednesday, the ministry said it had been alerted to the actions of activists with the so-called Raise the Colours group, searching for and destroying small boats and engaging in propaganda activity on the northern French coast.

The UK first introduced its Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) in 2023, gradually rolling it out so that by April 2025 it was compulsory for anyone entering the UK - with the exception of those travelling on a UK or Irish passport. But although the scheme has been in place for almost nine months now, people who have not had the required authorisation have mostly not actually been prevented from entering the country. This phase is due to end on February 25th, 2026.

One pinned post features a highly produced video that starts with a family walking in a field and urges viewers to defend their homeland. Another displays an image of a younger and older man in military garb, designed to look like a first world war-era army recruitment poster. Under it, in big bold capital letters: NO AGE CAP JOIN ICE NOW. The caption: We're taking father/son bonding to a whole new level.
