✅ It is TRUE: Bayern Munich have a big hope that Dayot Upamecano will sign a new contract. However, I heard that there is still yet to be a major breakthrough in contract talks. There's still a big question mark hanging over the signing fee. Alphonso Davies got a lot of money here, nearly €20m [£17.4m]. Upamecano also wants a sizeable signing fee.
I'm sure there will be talks held between Robertson and Liverpool to see if they can try and sort out a new contract, but the longer it drags on, there's no new deal agreed. It obviously opens up to the possibility that he could potentially sign a pre-contract in January or leave on a free transfer next summer, bit like his close mate Trent Alexander-Arnold did when he got the opportunity to move to Real Madrid.
Bayern have recently discussed Raphaël Guerreiro's future but have yet to make a final decision. Although January would be the last chance to get a fee for him, Bayern are not prioritizing a sale in Guerreiro's case. The opinion is that having him as a squad player until the end of the season is more valuable.
