Airports are essential for travel, but new EU Entry/Exit System has caused significant delays and frustrations for passengers.
"When you have landed at the airport, the last thing passengers want to be met with is a long transfer time to their destination. Unfortunately, travelers heading from Chicago O'Hare Airport will have a transfer time of approximately 60 minutes before reaching the city centre."
Rules that Buttigieg had been working to implement would have required airlines to pay each passenger several hundred dollars and up to $775, depending on the length of the delays. Presumably, these payouts would have motivated airlines to prevent delays by, perhaps, making sure pilots were booked in advance of all flights.
Extreme winds ripping across the US could bring hurricane levels of destruction and impact thousands of air travelers flying across the country. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued high wind warnings throughout more than 10 states in the Rocky Mountains, Great Plains, and Southwest throughout Tuesday. A Eurowings spokesperson told Business Insider that its owner, the Lufthansa Group, decided not to fly over Iranian or Iraqi airspace as a precautionary measure. They added that the refueling stop was "due to a longer flight distance and stronger headwinds on the alternative route at the time." "In the event of such refueling, we inform our passengers accordingly before departure in Dubai," they said.
Air travel has never been more accessible, yet the experience of moving through airports often feels more strained than it used to. Passenger numbers continue to climb, terminals are busier than ever, and delays have become a familiar part of modern travel. At the same time, expectations around efficiency and ease have only sharpened, making friction harder to ignore. This tension raises a simple question: Where does stress in air travel actually come from?

New York scored 8.9 out of 10, putting the town firmly in first place. Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and Miami round out the unfortunate top five, but New York comes out on top by a full half point.

But the dump of snow has been causing issues on the roads. Ontario Provincial Police responded to over 140 collisions throughout the day, they said on X, formerly known as Twitter. Sgt. Kerry Schmidt with the Ontario Provincial Police Highway Safety Division said Sunday is just the beginning of driving in winter weather.
