Jacobs charged with battery (domestic abuse, criminal damage to property), domestic abuse, disorderly conduct (domestic abuse, strangulation and suffocation) and intimidation of a victim. Records obtained by ESPN indicated at the time that Jacobs was held without bond. The report continued: The Hobart-Lawrence PD was dispatched to the alleged disturbance involving Jacobs on Saturday. Northern California law enforcement are investigating a Humboldt County animal rescue organization after receiving "credible allegations" that the owner had engaged in animal cruelty, including allegedly killing dogs sent from Oakland and elsewhere while falsely reporting they had been adopted.

Police were able to use a license plate reader to find the vehicle the suspect allegedly used to leave the scene. The Solomon Schechter Day School in Newton has placed a teacher on leave after a young child who tested positive for a sexually transmitted infection reported being touched inappropriately by the instructor, school officials said. The teacher was placed on leave Oct. 31, the same day the student's family shared additional information with the school, including a report of inappropriate touching, according to a statement the school released Wednesday.

He's also allegedly been downloading child sexual abuse material for decades, onto encrypted hard drives on his home and work computer, apparently avoiding detection by either employers or law enforcement until this year.
