Tesla's vehicle deliveries were down 16% compared to the fourth quarter of 2024. Rivian's overall sales for the year were also down compared to 2024. For the U.S. market, it isn't hard to find a culprit for this: the Trump administration's decision to end the federal tax credits for EVs.
The former chief engineer of Lucid Motors, Eric Bach, has sued the company for wrongful termination, discrimination, and retaliation, and claims one of the automaker's top HR executives referred to him as a "German Nazi." The federal lawsuit, filed Monday in the Northern District of California, claims Bach was stripped of his responsibilities overseeing the powertrain division in early 2025 as a result of an HR investigation into the company's workplace culture.
