"This is my personal opinion. I feel like ever since we started playing poorly a couple months ago, the pressure and frustration has been building up on the team. And I don't see anybody smiling and having a good time. We all know, when you're losing baseball games it's not that fun. But I feel like we have to find a way to put everything in perspective."
Grisham's breakout season continued Friday when he homered for the third straight game, crushing a grand slam that created some early breathing room before the Yankees piled on late for their season-high sixth straight win, 10-2 over the White Sox. "It's what I've always dreamed about and thought I was capable of," Grisham said of his career-high 28 homers in his seventh season as a big leaguer. "To do it is a whole other thing. But no, it does not surprise me."
"No, no. I think that's hard to chase, as far as kind of the win-loss. I think for me, it's just look at each day separately and try to win as many games as possible. We've had some things to go through, but we've managed it, I think, really well."
