The Exeter Road Pavilion is an adaptive reuse of a modest Victorian garden outbuilding in northwest London, redesigned for an art collector and amateur DJ who wanted a place equally suited to storing books, records, and artworks as to hosting garden gatherings, workouts, and the occasional ping-pong match. Our brief was twofold: create an interior cabinet for storage and an exterior canopy for shelter. From the outset, we saw these as a single architectural problem rather than two separate tasks.

The 8,500-square-foot Loacker Galaxy references the manufacturer's goods and packaging in three key areas. From the mezzanine, guests can peek into the lab or head into the production space themselves, where they can make their own goodies. The brand's bold red hue covers ceramic floor tiles, while silver laminate and metal have a futuristic feel. A coffered fir ceiling in the cafe echoes the look of favorite biscuits, and brings in a natural warmth.

Canyon Entrance serves as both threshold and statementa desertic pavilion marking the main arrival to a private family club in the arid landscapes of Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, Mexico. Conceived as a radial composition, the pavilion orchestrates a sensory journey: a deliberate compression of space that heightens anticipation, before releasing visitors into the openness of a sculpted desert garden.
