At around 9 a.m., troopers responded to a report that a bucket truck had been knocked onto its side and into oncoming traffic on Memorial Drive, according to a statement from Massachusetts State Police. A woman was seriously injured when she was struck by a car in East Boston on Thursday afternoon, according to the Boston Police Department. At around 2 p.m., officers responded to a call about a pedestrian struck by a car in the area around Meridian Street and Saratoga Street. On arrival, officers found a woman suffering from severe, life-threatening injuries. Police say Boston EMS transported the woman to a local hospital for treatment.
