A 15-month-old boy is dead after police found him unconscious and unresponsive inside a Queens apartment next to his mother, who had slashed her wrists, the NYPD said Monday. Officers responded to the home at 108-33 157th St. in Jamaica just after 1:30 p.m., officials said. They found the 28-year-old mother with wrist injuries and her child unresponsive, according to police. Both were taken to Jamaica Hospital, where the baby was pronounced dead, authorities said.

A 15-month-old baby boy who died under unclear circumstances was found in a bathroom alongside his mother, who had slit her wrists in an apparent suicide attempt inside their Queens home on Monday, cops said. Both the toddler and his mother were found inside the bathroom of their single-family home on 157th St. near 109th Ave. in Jamaica around 1:37 p.m., said police.

Police responded just after midnight Sunday to a report of a suspicious vehicle on the 1300 block of Seaport Boulevard reported by a security guard, according to a press release from the Redwood City Police Department. When officers arrived, they found a man in the driver's seat and a woman in the passenger seat of the vehicle, each with a gunshot wound to the head and unconscious, authorities said.
