Several polling entities, such as Siena College or AARP New York and Gotham Polling& Analytics, have Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani leading the mayoral field. AARP's most recent numbers show Mamdani with about 41.8% voter support, followed by former Governor Andrew Cuomo with 23.4%, Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa at 16.5%, and incumbent Mayor Eric Adams trailing behind with 8.8%. The poll also reveals important shifts in candidate support across demographic groups.

Trump's victory showcased a potential realignment among voters, with gains among Black, Latino, and Asian demographics, as well as younger voters. This shift indicated a decline of the social-justice era.

Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani leads former Gov. Andrew Cuomo by 10 points in New York City's mayoral election. Mamdani has 35% support while Cuomo has 25%.

Harris performed six points worse among men than Biden did, an extensive analysis by the Cook Political Report declared. The falloff was significantly more pronounced among Latino men (-12) and Black men (-7).

Mamdani developed a much broader coalition than you might have expected from the fact he was a (Democratic Socialists of America) candidate.
