Gardaí confirm the scene remains closed as they conduct a forensic examination following a fatal single-vehicle collision on the R240.
The passenger, a teen male, sustained fatal injuries, while the driver in his 20s is seriously injured and receiving treatment in Belfast.
An appeal for witnesses has been made by Gardaí, urging anyone with relevant dash-cam footage or information to assist in their investigation.
