Weekend warriors can cut risk of 264 diseases - Harvard Gazette
Briefly

"Being a 'weekend warrior' is just as effective as regular weekly exercise in reducing the risk of developing more than 200 diseases, according to a new study out of Harvard-affiliated Massachusetts General Hospital."
"Among people who meet CDC's recommendations of at least 150 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity per week, those who exercise 20-30 minutes most days of the week experience benefits equal to those who go five to six days between longer exercise sessions."
"The investigators' analyses revealed that weekend warrior and regular physical activity patterns were each associated with substantially lower risks of 264 diseases compared with inactivity. Associations were strongest for cardiometabolic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes."
