"He was a loving and dedicated father to his three beautiful girls," the family's statement read. "A shattering tragedy in their tender young lives. A devastating loss to all the family and friends."
Numerous search and rescue agencies, including the U.S. Coast Guard and Nevada State Parks rangers, located an unresponsive adult male at the scene.
The sheriff's office said that it was being investigated as an 'accidental drowning.' Around seven people reportedly drown in Lake Tahoe's deep, frigid waters every year due to cold water shock.
