During a recent series of incidents between March 19 and March 23, law enforcement reported multiple vehicle thefts, burglaries, and vandalism in the area. A vehicle was stolen from a residence and later recovered in San Jose, leading to an arrest. Two residential burglaries resulted in substantial tool and asset thefts. Vandalism and vehicle break-ins were also reported, causing damage and losses totaling thousands of dollars. In one incident, a driver under the influence caused an accident after hitting a parked vehicle.
At 9:30 a.m., deputies responded to an auto theft call at a residence in the 20000 block of Fourth Street. An investigation revealed the suspect stole a vehicle there, which was recovered damaged a short time later in San Jose. The suspect was arrested and booked into juvenile hall.
Between 4:30 p.m. on March 19 and 9:30 a.m. on March 20, someone entered an unoccupied residence under construction in the 18000 block of Purdue Drive through an unlocked rear door and stole tools valued at approximately $2,890.
At 11:36 p.m., deputies responded to a traffic hazard call at Sevilla Lane and Mandarin Way on report of a vehicle stalled in the middle of the roadway. An investigation revealed the motorist was driving under the influence of alcohol and hit a parked vehicle.
Between 8 p.m. on March 22 and 9 a.m. on March 23, someone broke a window of a vehicle parked in the 14000 block of Saratoga Avenue and stole electronics and luggage for a loss valued at approximately $2,730.
