Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has confirmed that he intends to participate in talks in Berlin on ending the conflict in the country. However, it remained unclear whether he would arrive in Berlin on Sunday and meet the US special envoy, Steve Witkoff. The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) says it has agreed to a proposal by the United States for a ceasefire in Sudan after more than two years of fighting with the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF). The paramilitary group said in a statement on Thursday that it would accept a humanitarian ceasefire proposed by the US-led quad mediator group, which includes Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, to address the catastrophic humanitarian consequences of the war and to enhance the protection of civilians.

Israeli officials are in Cairo negotiating a ceasefire agreement with Hamas based on a 20-point plan presented by US President Donald Trump. The agreement would see the remaining 47 Israeli hostages returned (25 of whom are presumed dead), a cessation of Israel's bombing campaign and the creation of an interim government for Gaza led by former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office confirmed that the Israeli military carried out the attack in Doha on Tuesday against Hamas leaders.
