Oktagon MMA kicked off its 2026 on Saturday with Oktagon 82 in Dusseldorf, Germany, as the Tipsport Gamechanger Middleweight Tournament came to a close. A name familiar to UFC fans was found in that final, as Polish middleweight vet Krzysztof Jotko faced Kerim Engizek for the big prize. In a reserve bout kicking off the night's main card, meanwhile, another veteran, David Zawada, took on Daniel Ligocki. Oktagon 82's co-main event had possible title implications for the promotion's featherweight division.

UFC Vegas 110 went down on Saturday night, making the 37th event of the year for the promotion. The extended-length main card boasted one extra fight to bring the total to six. Coincidentally, a total of six ranked fighters graced the card. Out of 13 fights, eight of them ended with a finish. Only one fight on the main card went the distance.

David Onama and Steve Garcia headline their first fight card inside the Octagon when the featherweights square off in the main event at UFC Fight Night at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday ( 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+, with prelims at 4 p.m.). Zalal stayed outside, looking light on his feet to start the fight. It wasn't long before the affair hit the mat, with Zalal changing levels and exploding into a takedown. Emmett found himself trapped, unable to escape with Zalal working on a triangle, then an arm-bar. Emmett tried to stack Zalal up, but couldn't, and all of a sudden, Emmett gave the verbal tap. A huge, huge win for Youssef Zalal, who has won five straight since returning to the UFC in early 2024.

Jose Mauro Delano already looks like a finished product. The former Legacy Fighting Alliance and Shooto Brazil titleholder was one of five competitors to net an Ultimate Fighting Championship contract on Week 2 of Dana White's Contender Series, as he picked apart Manuel Exposito ahead of a lopsided unanimous decision in their featherweight showcase on Tuesday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. All three cageside judges turned in 30-27 scorecards for Delano (16-3, 1-0 DWCS), who now finds himself on a four-fight winning streak.
