The male cyclist was discovered unresponsive at the scene at Batterstown, Ballivor, on Friday, September 12. He was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown where he was subsequently pronounced deceased. A man, aged in his 40s, who was arrested as part of the investigation, is currently detained at a Garda station in the Eastern Region where he can be detained for up to 24 hours.

The incident occurred at a car park on Castle Villas Street in Dalkey on Sunday at about 4.30pm. The collision involved a vehicle and a pedestrian.
