The second season appears to go in a The White Lotus-esque direction with Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan as a couple whose fight is witnessed by two country-club employees.

Falling in love with a show can lead to heartbreak if it gets canceled before you feel like you got any real closure.

Arrival is a moody sci-fi drama about a linguistics professor, played by Amy Adams, who is tasked with finding a way to communicate with aliens that arrive on Earth.

A time jump resets this show's character dynamics with Rue (Zendaya) working off her debt to a drug dealer and seemingly nearly all the series' other female characters engaged in sex work of some kind. Sam Levinson's vision of a woman's life is pretty depressing.

One Battle After Another dominated the awards race and even threw in some box-office points as well. Seven of the top-ten movies were Best Picture nominees at the Oscars, for what it's worth.

Why now? It's a simpler story. Without the Warner Brothers Discovery acquisition. I didn't really understand why they were going after that to begin with, but now you can focus on the fundamentals.

In the fourth season of Industry, everyone has a story to sell: a neutered fund or loveless marriage, shamed husbands, a life aimless after retirement, a payment-processing firm hampered by its ties to porn and sex work. These labels seem to indicate mistaken priorities or misplaced trust. But they are just narratives to be refined or redefined. Everything is up for grabs if you tell the right story.

Emerald Fennell's adaptation of Emily Brontë's beloved novel has been driving people mad since the project was first announced. Now, you can see it for yourself. Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi play Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, two young adults ( their ages are questionable here) with a deeply destructive obsession with each other that only spirals further when the Lintons (Shazad Latif and a scene-stealing Alison Oliver) move in at Thrushcross Grange across from the Earnshaws at Wuthering Heights.

You would think Searchlight hoped for The Testament of Ann Lee to release widely in theaters with something to celebrate ( re: Oscar noms), but that campaign didn't quite take off. The lack of awards buzz shouldn't besmirch Amanda Seyfried's performance here, though, which is great. Plus, if you want to go to the movies this weekend, it's an incredibly better option than the Chris Pratt AI movie.

Melling plays a shy young man, Colin, who meets a hot biker, Ray (Skarsgård); the two sweetly and awkwardly develop a BDSM relationship as Colin starts to grasp on to what he really wants from his life.
