HOLLISTER An investigation is underway into the unexpected death of a 9-month-old infant in Hollister, police said. The Hollister Police Department said it received an emergency call around 7:50 a.m. Thursday, reporting an unresponsive infant with no pulse and no signs of breathing. Officers arrived at the undisclosed address to find the infant unconscious, not breathing and without a pulse, police said. The infant was taken to an area hospital, where they were pronounced dead, police said.
A woman is assisting police after a baby boy was found dead inside a storm water drain. Two workers carrying out routine maintenance made the confronting discovery in Alexander Heights in Perth's northern suburbs on Monday afternoon. Western Australia police confirmed a woman in her 30s is assisting with their investigation into the newborn's death. The woman is receiving appropriate care and support, police said in a statement on Wednesday evening.
