Nintendo may be about to " follow in Sony and Microsoft's footsteps " and announce a Switch 2 price hike, according to a report from video game consumer insights firm Niko Partners. Although the new system is currently outselling the original Nintendo Switch by a wide margin in its first year, spiking RAM costs and ongoing tariffs could change all that.
The modular PC company Framework is adjusting the price of its DDR5 RAM modules once again as the cost of memory continues to surge. In an update on Wednesday, Framework said it will charge $10 per GB for 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB, with "slightly higher" prices for the 48GB and up. Framework first announced a price hike on memory earlier this month, citing "substantially higher costs" from suppliers and distributors.
Paramount says the price increase will "fuel continued reinvestment in the user experience and deliver an even stronger slate of programming" going forward. Like many other streamers, Paramount has hiked the price of its streaming service on an almost yearly basis. Paramount Plus raised prices in 2023 before hiking them further last June, bringing its ad-free Premium plan to $12.99 / month, while its ad-supported tier sits at $7.99 / month.
The on-again and off-again sale of Disneyland Magic Keys is back again after the recent price hike of the most expensive annual passes as the Anaheim theme park prepares for the Christmas holiday season. The two most expensive tiers Inspire and Believe will go on sale Nov. 4 no earlier than 9 a.m. Pacific Time. Disneyland paused sales of the Inspire and Believe Keys in July. The two least expensive tiers of Magic Key annual passes Imagine and Enchant have been available since August.
The German business recently sent an email to customers of its virtual private server (VPS) service, notifying them that an extra fee would be levied as of October 30. This charge comprises a monthly fee of £5 (excluding VAT) per Plesk license, which may not seem like much, but because each server a customer operates has its own Plesk license, the extra costs would soon mount up for anyone running more than a few server instances.
